‘Better Care, Healthier Lives’. We are the charity that exists to support St George’s hospitals and the communities they serve. Every day, our work makes a real difference to patients, their families and friends and the staff who care for them.

Story

My friend Christopher has asked me to help him to raise money for the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at St Georges Hospital in memory of his Daddy, Tom Clayden.

A group of us from Amesbury School are taking part in a 2-hour continuous game of Diamond cricket.

I am hoping to raise £700 and help Christopher's family reach their target of £20,000 to purchase a special machine to monitor brain oxygenation and help doctor's manage a complication known as vasospasm which can cause further brain damage following a bleed to the brain. It is hoped that this piece of equipment will allow a better outcome for patients who suffer bleeds to the brain.
