Story
On 11 May, Amara and I are undertaking the 10k 'Just Walk' to raise money for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK and to show our support to a close friend whose 6 year daughter was recently diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.
Rett Syndrome is a debilitating disorder, the symptoms of which include breathing difficulties, digestive problems, seizures, impaired cardiac and circulatory function, scoliosis and Parkinson-like tremors.
I can’t imagine, as a parent, how you start to come to terms with the devastating news that your little girl has Rett Syndrome. However, there is now hope that a cure can be found, with recent research showing the possibility that Rett Syndrome can be reversed. The Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK is exclusively focused on speeding treatments and cures for Rett Syndrome.
Please give anything you can to support the work of the Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK and give parents of Rett sufferers the hope that a cure can be found.
Thank you.
Sarah
