Story
There are around 14,000 racehorses in training in Great Britain with approximately four to five thousand leaving the sport each year. Due to the fantastic versatility of the thoroughbred, many go on to be successfully retrained for eventing, dressage, showing,.
But what happens to the lines that are quirky or difficult, or fall on hard times later in life? This is where New Beginnings steps in.
Horses come to New Beginnings either straight from training or from private post racing homes where the owner can no longer look after them. We also assist with the ROR vulnerable horse scheme and provide care, compassion and stability for the most vulnerable former racehorses that need extra help and understanding.
The passion that drives us is the determination to provide a safe and secure environment where former racehorses can adjust and be re-trained for their second career following racing.
