Myself along with Ollie, Sam, Craig and Emma will be running the Great North Run 2019 to raise money for Meningitis Research. 

Last year at only 7 weeks old Ollie’s niece Emilia was diagnosed with meningitis. Being the little fighter she is and along with the hard work of doctors and nurses, Emilia thankfully pulled through what was a very scary week. 

Emilia is now a very happy and healthy little 1 year old girl!

Unfortunately for some Meningitis can have long lasting and devastating effects. Meningitis is the second largest killer of children under 5 across the world. 

Meningitis Research has a mission is to defeat meningitis and septicemia from wherever they exist. I am running to raise money for this great cause and hopefully one day soon we will live in a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.
