Story
In the UK:

- Every 5 minutes someone dies from a lung condition.
- Poor lung health is the 3rd biggest killer overall…

Those of you who know me personally will know that I have severe asthma. When I hadn’t received appropriate diagnosis and treatment it was utterly debilitating. When Asthma+Lung UK were known as Asthma UK I benefited from helpline support from specialist nurses at some of my most challenging times that I have experienced while trying to manage this condition. This support helped me navigate the often complex route to get the right treatment in a timely fashion.
Although asthma is something that I live with and manage everyday, I am truly grateful that on the right cocktail of medication I can live a full and active life. I am especially thankful that my body is allowing me to train for a marathon - 6 years ago this would have been unthinkable.
