We provide respite and end of life care to make the most of short & precious lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 18th September 2010 I will be taking part in the 5 mile moonlight walk around Falmouth, Cornwall.

The walk is in aid of the Precious Lives Appeal which was set up to fund the construction of Little Harbour. Little Harbour will be a much needed childrens hospice in Cornwall.

Little Harbour will be Childrens Hospice SW third hospice. It was granted planning permission in March 2009, with completion planned for the end 2011.

Little Harbour will be built on the outskirts of St Austell and will provide a home from home closer to home for the children of Cornwall and Plymouth. It will enable us to provide more care and support to the families who need us.

Like Childrens Hospice SW other hospices, Little Harbour will offer a range of services such as 24 hour palliative care and end of life care, support for parents and well brothers and sisters, as well as help, advice and support in bereavement and beyond.

Little Harbour will cost over £5 million to build, and with the generosity of the people of the South West we are confident that this hospice will become a reality and we will be able to welcome families in 2011.
