Sarah Jorgensen is raising money for Bowel Cancer UK
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the beginning of this year, my beautiful sister was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. She’s had a painful, tough and frustrating 10 months of symptoms, progressively getting worse. Many tests and numerous visits to her GP and hospital.
Sadly it has spread into her liver, lung and the lymph nodes in her stomach, yet she continues to show great strength and positivity.
It is her attitude that has motivated me to do the East Midlands to Nottingham run for Bowel Cancer this year.
I had originally said I would do it, but in all honesty, I wasn't going to commit. I’m a fair weather runner and I’m not ‘feeling’ running at the moment. My diet has been appalling since before Christmas and I’m still emotionally eating/bingeing. Something which I thought I had conquered :( 😩
But seeing Dee’s courage and fortitude makes me realise that I need to suck it up!
The run is only a couple of weeks away, so I need to get a move on!
This run is for you Dee! Cancer is cancer whether bowel, bile duct, stomach, breast... let’s kick it’s ass and raise some money!
