Nine months ago I found a lump in my neck and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Seven months ago I had an operation to remove the tumour, thyroid gland and a number of lymph nodes. 

Ten days ago I received a dose of radioactive iodine, I am now cancer free as far as they can see but I will be monitored for a number of years and will be on a course of thyroxine for the rest of my life. 

From the moment of my diagnosis to the last day of treatment, there has been a team of people providing me with information, support and expertise to help cure me of cancer and to get me back to living my best life. Without the life-saving research done by the organisation like ICR none of this would have been possible.
