Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In Feb 2019 I lost my dad to cancer. Having spent the majority of my working life in health and promoting the importance of knowing your body, early diagnosis and the benefits of making healthy lifestyle choices, I felt this opportunity ticked all the boxes. I wanted to do something to raise money for local families who benefit from the love, care and support that our amazing Bolton Hospice offers. I also wanted to make sure I was practising what I preach in terms of the 5 ways to wellbeing. which are...Give, Connect, Get Active, Keep Learning and Take Notice. In taking on this challenge I will learn a new skill, make new friends (hopefully), increase my activity levels and give time and energy to raise valuable resources for a great local cause. So, here we are (myself and my partner Mark) about to start the 12 week journey from beginner to competition ready. Wish us luck and dig deep. Thank you. x
Covid delayed this event by 20 months! Its happening on November 6th, thanks to those who donated last year, it all still counts. For anyone else who feels they would like to support us the competition is in just short of 2 weeks and we feel more nervous than ever, you'd think we had spent the time wisely and perfected our routine, but no, we didn't. We chose to drink wine and eat food, lets hope the costumes still fit!?
