We will leave home with the clothes we are wearing, no money, food or water and will spend the day speaking to other homeless people, working in the streets of Sheffield in order to obtain a lunch token and generally sharing what is a horrible experience for many people.

 

Myself and Kate are trying to raise awareness of homelessness both in the City Centre but also in smaller towns across the East Midlands.

 

Our experience of sleeping “rough” has made us more determined than ever to try and help support these people. The saying goes that we are all only one step away from homelessness and that the stereotypical perception of homeless people being drug addicts and bad people needs to be stamped out! They are human beings after all!
