Over 1.5 million in the UK have endometriosis and the impact of the disease is for some devastating, yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. With your donations we are turning this around, raising awareness, providing support and information, supporting research, and campaigning for change.

Story

VERY personal post but with every knockback I always try to see a positive . March is #endometriosisawareness month whilst I’m in the middle of treatment I felt it’s time to talk out @endometriosis.uk so here is some of my story:

It’s been 3 month’s since I was put on chemotherapy for endometriosis due to chronic pain whcih required me to be on morphine. I refuse to let chemo defeat me; hair loss I can  deal with, I can obviously just get wigs, it’s a small price to pay for not being in pain. Although it is still not nice to see my hair falling out all the time.

It's been so difficult because we are also still in lockdown which, on top of everything else, has affectd my anxiety. But despite all this I am determined to not let it destroy my soul again!

The past 3 months have been so so hard, they've stolen my energy completely, my spirit and my want to do anything. It felt as though I just existed and was no use to anyone even my daughter. It got to the point where going up the stairs was hard work; it was as if my body had given up on me  as soon as I had woken up. I would do small tasks and be exhausted but in my head I could run a mile.

This week I turned a corner. I am finally pain free 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 and have managed to take my girl to play football  go for a hike and feel like a normal human again. I am praying that this is the beginning of being happy and active, not just for me but my children as well.

Thank you to everyone sending messages, you're so kind! I've also had clients sending me CBD & oxygen as well as essentials - thank you to them too. I've had friends in which has helped keeep my head above water. I appreciate each and everyone who has reached out and the women who are also suffering with endometriosis symptoms.

I’m on the right path to recovery now - fingers crossed. One in 10  women have Endometriosis, I didn't even know I had stage four until very late but if you're struggling please don’t do what I did and just leave it! It can be managed if you find it sooner. I'm happy to help if you have any questions. Hope my story can bring support, hope and love to people. Remember; you are not on your own 💕🙏 #endometriosisawareness #endometriosis #wigs

I'm currently on chemo so I can’t run yet.  I’ve just got through three months of chronic fatigue so it’s a massive light at the end of the tunnel to be back on my feet. I still have another three months of chemotherapy. I want to help raise awareness bringing light to my Endo darkness. I want to show women the light at the end of the tunneI. With this in mind I will do a five KM walk, with help from a local company PrimePT, who are helping me get back on my feet,  and oxygen pro company, sponsoring me on my walk. https://oxygenpro.co.uk/ & PrimePT https://linktr.ee/pt.prime
