In February 2012 my stepdad Steve was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. Despite all the treatment the tumour was aggressive and towards Christmas he became bed bound and was cared for at home. In December due to other complications Steve was taken into Barnsley Hospice. Even though his stay was short, all the staff were very kind, caring and made Steve's stay a comfortable one. Although I would wish for Steve to be ok, I'm glad the hospice was there for Steve and my family.
