I never truly realised how amazing my Gran Rosemary was until I was in my twenties.  From a young age we always knew about my Grans sight-loss and how she would eventually lose it completely. This has now happened and she is blind; but everyday, even at the age of 85, she astounds me with her outlook on life. She is humble, funny, kind and most of all has never complained about her Blindness when she could have every reason to.  

This is why i'm chucking myself out of a plane (albeit attached to a hopefully very experienced parachute jumper) at 10,000 ft. My gran gave me one of the greatest gifts in life... an extraordinary grandparent  and if i could give her anything in return It would be the gift of sight.
