Story

Karen's dog Ava is looking forward to taking us on this walk on 26th September in the Blickling Estate Norfolk.  All dogs are all special to all their families.  A hearing dog can transform lives for those with hearing loss.  Hearing loss can make people feel lonely and isolated.  A hearing dog offers companionship and gives their human the confidence to live life to the full, to go out and engage with society. Not only do they offer companionship but they help in other direct, practical ways - for example notifying their human of the door bell and smoke alarm and waking them in the morning. The Great British Dog Walk is  the opportunity for people who also love their dogs, to have fun raising awareness and funds. Hearing Dogs for the Deaf  receive no government funding so any donation, however large or small, goes towards helping train dogs to help deaf people reconnect with life.
