As many of you know, my proudest achievement to-date is becoming involved with The Lily Foundation - a charity founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. 
The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children, adults and families that face the challenges of this disease today.
Every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16.  

There's no cure for this disease.

I'm honoured to have met the most incredible people who are living with the affects of this dreadful disease.  This, my friends, is for you.  I thank you all for not letting me take my working legs for granted and for changing my life for the better x
