Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is something I've been thinking about doing for about a year, and  finally in a blonde bonkers sort of moment I've signed up.

2 weeks before I take on this challenge I will have been a type 1 diabetic for 28 years.  Although diabetes can be a bit of a pain to live with I honestly class myself as being very lucky with the fab support I've been given along the way. Taking part in this bike ride is my way of saying thank you and hopefully proof that being diabetic doesn't really have to stop you achieving anything that you want to.

I started cycling in Jan 2017 and from then on it's become a bit of a love affair. I've  completed a few 90 odd mile bike rides along the way but this will be my biggest challenge to date. It's not only the cycling but making sure I look after my diabetes which will test me. I'll also be taking part in Ride 100 as a bit of a warm up for the main event.  I'd be really grateful for any donations to help support Diabetes UK which aim to make the lives of millions of diabetics in the UK that bit easier.

Thank you

Sarah xx
