Hello,

I hit my target once again for the 2011 Destination Dreams programme so I am hoping that Caudwell Children take me on again in 2012. Please help me reach my target so that another 25 children with terminal illnesses and their families can be taken to Florida with a dedicated team of volunteers and medical staff. By sponsoring me you will be able to help make true children's dreams and help create lasting memories for their families.The nine days away also allows siblings, parents and child to come together as a family, do things  together and spend one on one time. The break also gives the whole family a rest from relentless hospital treatments and hospital visits.

I will be taking nine days annual leave to accompany the families to Florida.My role as a volunteer includes looking after a family at the airport to ensure that the check in process goes as smoothly as possible and looking after them all the way to boarding. Many of these families will have never travelled before so this will be a very stressful and worrying journey for them. Once in Florida, I do everything I can to help, whether it's pushing the wheelchair or pram, keeping the kids entertained and ensuring everyone gets to do something they want to taking them round the park and making sure they don't get left behind! I'll act as a listener or be 'forced' to go onto the fastest roller coasters! I basically try to make the holiday as stress free and good fun as I can.I found it an incredibly rewarding and moving experience and felt very prouf to be in involved in such a worthwhile cause and really hope I am selected to go again. If not, this money will still go to the charity as they are doing an amazing job.

Every penny that is raised goes directly to the charity as all administrative costs are covered by John Caudwell the founder of the Charity. Caudwell are an amazing charity and have so far donated over £12 million worth towards making a significant and lasting improvement to the lives of children and yourg people. They do this by providing funding for specialist equipment, treatments and therapies.
