Virtual London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
When my dad found out he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, it was too late, we were told he was terminal and only had 9 months to live. It’s a fact that there isn’t enough research that goes into this cancer. When one is diagnosed it’s always too late. It’s a silent killer cancer that doesn’t have many symptoms.
More than half of the people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Luckily we had 20 months together with Dad and we made the most of everyday. But now there isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think about him. I miss him so much. So I’m trying to put all my energy into training for the marathon and making as much money as I can to help with pancreatic cancer research.
This October also marks one year after I finished my own cancer treatment. The marathon has been on my bucket list for a long time and this charity is the only one I would have done it for, I just hope I make it! Please donate whatever you can afford as every little helps! Thank you x
