We fund small business start ups in Lesotho to reduce financial hardship and poverty

Story

On Sunday 11th September Paul and I are taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride to raise money in aid CHEF, a U.K. registered charity, which offers education support or funding to people living in financial hardship and poverty in Lesotho. We hope to give them a helping hand to achieve their dreams, and every donation will REALLY help. www.chef.gives

The aim is to provide the current pre-school in Mohale's Hoek, Lesotho, with a healthy, happy school. It is currently a tin shack.
The children have no access to toilets, nowhere to clean their hands, and there is no separate safe and hygienic area to prepare food for the children. All the children are being taught in one dark room with no natural light. The tin shelter has cardboard for wall insulation and no tables or chairs to sit at, let alone work or play correctly.
CHEF has had an architect draw up plans for a fully functioning pre-school that is warm, dry, hygienic, safe, and light, providing the perfect environment for a happy educational facility at these very important early years.

About the charity

CHEF raises valuable funds here in the UK that can be used to help people suffering from poverty or financial hardship in Lesotho (Southern Africa). By offering funding for food related business start-ups and training, we help people to work their way out of poverty and have a brighter future.
