Story

I am taking part in the Cornwall RNLI virtual challenge 2021 to help support the RNLI's volunteer crews in saving lives around our coast. The Challenge is to complete a Run, Walk, Cycle, or Swim over the period between 1st February to 31st March. The distance can be between two or more Cornish Lifeboat Stations, picking the distance that best suits and it can be carried out anywhere, be that a garden, park, swimming pool or even a treadmill. There are a total of 13 RNLI lifeboat stations around the coast of Cornwall, from Bude to Looe with the total overall distance is 228 miles. Bude to Port Isaac = 30 miles Port Isaac to Rock = 9 miles Rock to Padstow 17 miles Padstow to Newquay = 15 miles Newquay to St Agnes = 13 miles St Agnes to St Ives = 21 miles St Ives to Sennen = 17 miles Sennen to Penlee = 8 miles Penlee to Lizard = 25 miles Lizard to Falmouth = 21 miles Falmouth to Fowey = 33 miles Fowey to Looe = 19 miles

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
