Haiti Half Marathon · 16 February 2019

The Andrew Grene Foundation (AGF) is a charity dedicated to supporting Haitian people through education, loans and building projects. Our work is dedicated to the memory of Andrew Grene, a UN worker and one of the many thousands of people who died in the Haiti earthquake of 12 January 2010.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On February 16th 2019 I am participating in the second annual HHH (Holden Haiti Half) marathon in Port au Prince.  I am raising funds for the Andrew Grene Foundation, who support two projects in Haiti.

They have the Andrew Grene High School in Cite Soleil, and a microfinance branch in the south of the island, in Aken.  The foundation is supported by a corporate sponsor, which means that 100% of your donation goes directly to these projects.

I am nervous and excited about this event, as it will take me outside of my comfort zone.  The race is over trail and road and is in the hills of Port au Prince.  It will be challenging but will be rewarding, and I am looking forward to meeting the children at the school where my donations will be invaluable.

If you would like to see the work of the foundation, please click on www.andrewgrene.org where you will find a couple of short films that give you the background to the charity and showcase their work.

Many thanks for your support.
