I am riding in memory of my friend's father who sadly passed away after suffering from this terrible disease. Karen shared regulary updates on fabebook of what its like being the family member of a sufferer and it was truely touching. After he died there isn't anything much you can do but offer support so this seemed like a fitting tribute to a lovely man and a lovely friend.

For those who don't know me, I used to ride my bike all the time but a few years ago couldn't find the motivation to do a single mile. This Spring I decided to get back on bike and am finally back to almost normal.

Taking part in this event means twice as much because I get to ride for a great cause in memory of a great man and hopefully build up my love for cycling again.
