Story
I have the BEST birthday present imaginable this year- our overnight campers return to camp on June 21. I missed them so much in 2020 and FINALLY it's time for the buses to roll in (spaced well and wearing masks, of course!). I can't wait to see how much they have grown and welcome them home to Camp.
Camp Whitcomb/Mason, part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is an interactive, outdoor learning environment where thousands of campers unplug and have FUN learning with their cabin of friends and counselors. Camp is a 300-acre playground along the shores of Lake Keesus where campers make connections that last a lifetime.
Camp Whitcomb/Mason campers experience canoeing, swimming, Gagaball, building a fort, dance parties, cooking out over the open fire, talking around the campfire, and learning about each other and the environment.
Campers and staff are housed in cabins and engage in camp activities with their "cabin family" this summer. Camp staff conduct daily health screenings for all and are trained in mitigation strategies such as masking, hand hygiene, physical distance of cabin cohorts, and our testing strategy.
My husband Craig and I met at camp, brought three babies home to the camp house and this year all three of our children are wearing staff shirts at Camp Whitcomb/Mason, working hard and having a blast with our campers.
