I have chosen this charity as a good friend and colleague of mine was diagnosed with this rare form of cancer last year. She is fighting against it but is still under review. Unfortunately due to the place of this cancer It is very hard to detect, and Kathryn originally started with just a bit of reflux! This later developed into jaundice and eventually the doctors found it was cancer. She has had two courses of treatment now and has really got her sparkle back! Fingers crossed she will continue to recover so well.

She is a fantastic lady who has always looked after herself, rarely drinks, never smoked, excises and eats well. She is always putting her children first and often helps with events at school, church and drama groups. It really shows that cancer will just about pick anyone! 

I choose Kilimanjaro as I enjoy the outdoors and climbing mountains, so why not pick the biggest free standing mountain! It will be tough for me and I will work hard to train to make it to the top....and back down in one piece!
