Story
I am running The London Marathon on 22nd April 2007 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. My training is going well but there is still an awful lot more to do! I am in my 2nd year at medical school so completing the Marathon and passing my 2nd year is going to be a real challenge.
Cancer affects so many people, friends, families and loved ones. Six years ago my 9 year old sister Katie was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. After undergoing surgery at Great Ormond Street and weeks of radiotherapy she made a full recovery and had an amazing quality of life. Sadly she relapsed 18 months later and died in May 2000 with very little warning. She was bright, cheerful and tough and gentle at the same time - a great inspiration to me, my family and anyone who knew her.
I really need your help to reach my fundraising target of £2000 and hopefully exceed it! Please give what you can, everything helps. The more money raised then the greater the chance of finding successful treatments and hopefully one day cancer will be beaten!.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my site - any contribution will be gratefully received by me and Cancer Research UK.
Sarah xx
PS. If you are a UK tax payer please Gift Aid your donation as this will allow Cancer Research UK to recover 25% from the Taxman - which can't be bad can it?!
