Story
I’m once again running the London Marathon, and this time the charity I’ve chosen to run for is Mind. I’m fundraising through a ballot place so there is no minimum target, so please just help by giving anything you can.
When I got my ballot place, choosing the right charity to lend my support to was hard. I’ve taken on many challenges for many charities: cancer and hospice charities in memory of my Dad, and asthma charities in honour of my amazing friend’s incredible survival. Could it have been a heart charity, considering the amazing technology that is currently saving another close family member, or something in memory of my unbelievable uncle?
Ultimately, every single one of those causes is more than worthy, and every event linked to them has had a significant impact on the mental health of those involved.
Add to this the work I’ve done supporting young people with mental health issues in school and the challenges people have faced since Covid, and it started to become clear that Mind was the right charity for me.
