Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am so excited to run in the London Marathon 2021, representing the Music Man Project Kent. I hope to use this occasion to make more people aware of the amazing work that the volunteers and performers put in and fundraise so they can continue running their sessions and performances.


The Music Man Project Kent is an award-winning, world record breaking service for people with learning disabilities, providing music tuition leading to performances.


The Music Man Project Kent is run by volunteers and for many performers, it has been a real lifeline during the pandemic.  Unlike the usual sessions, throughout 2020 they used Zoom, uploaded resources onto YouTube, practiced music at home with kitchen utensils, and held sessions outside in the sunshine (and rain!). This allowed their performers to stay connected and for some, had been their only sense of consistency.


My brother, Nicholas, went to his first session in February 2019 and thanks to the tutors, volunteers and performers who attend the Music Man Project in Kent, he was so happy to be a part of this community and was excited to attend each week. Music Man has played a huge role in my brother's life, especially throughout lockdown due to it being the only club he could access via Zoom. He loves to use sign language, play his instruments and blast the songs every morning on our Google Nest... i really do mean every morning! It makes us so incredibly happy and proud that Nick is apart of such a welcoming, accepting and joyous community and that makes me even more passionate to help them. 


Music Man Project Kent is entirely self-funded and rely heavily on fundraising and donations. If you are able to support them, please give generously to help sustain this vital, inspirational community project - it means the world to the volunteers, performers and their carers.
