Open Water Swimathon is returning for the fifth year at venues across the UK. I’ve been doing a bit of outdoor swimming over the past couple of months and want to challenge myself to swim further, and keep going as the temperature drops - I may need to purchase a wetsuit!!
Cancer Research UK, the worlds leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.
Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in peoples homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
Together we can really make a difference.
There are a range of distances available, from 500m up to 5k. I’ve opted for 1.5k - the furthest I’ve swam to date is 1km and the time it takes depends on the temperature and how windy it is.
If you’re able to make a small donation, maybe give up a coffee or pint, it would really be appreciated by me and the charities that will benefit.
