Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Kindness is free. Love is free. And my weekends are free, so I am donating them to train for this ridiculous challenge. I love walking, and running and basically any sort of movement, so I dusting out my hiking boots and my trusty backpack, and I am setting off for another challenge and adventure.

I am lucky enough to be fit and able bodied and independent. But not everyone has that gift.

I am walking to raise money for those who don't have the ability to do this, to raise money for Sense, who support the DeafBlind. These people already lead the most challenging of lives, where basic independence and communication can be the biggest challenge. They and their supporters and carers do an amazing job facing challenges everyday. Hopefully we can raise money to make their life easier and provide some assistance.

While it may not be a lot, every little helps. If all my friends donated just £1 it would cumulate to make a big difference.

Please support me in my adventure.
