Walking the Wight 2023 · 7 September 2023

Cherry Trees provides home from home specialist short breaks for children and young people aged 0-19 with a range of disabilities including learning, physical and sensory impairments. We believe that every child is an individual with the right to enjoy a normal pattern of life in the community

Story

Walking the Wight in September 2023.

It's been a while (well, 7 years) since I have done anything this physically challenging, but I am excited to be part of a 20 strong team from New Dawn Pubs, Insta Group, The Barley Mow and 1st Call Trees, walking 100km around the Isle of Wight for 2 great causes: Cherry Trees and National Energy Action.

Cherry Trees is a respite carehome for children with disabilities, near Guildford, while National Energy Action is working to end fuel poverty in the England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
