Story

Hi all, so I seem to have signed myself up for doing a Skydive. What was I thinking!? Anything for charity I suppose.

Barclays has partnered with Glasgow Childrens Hospital to raise funds for a Fetal Ultrasound Scanner.

Please donate to this wonderful cause and help me raise lots of money towards Barclays overall fundraising total and also for your own enjoyment of making me jump out of a plane.

Many thanks in advance xx

Background:

Barclays Scotland have partnered with Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity to raise £96,000 to fund a state-of-the-art Fetal Cardiology Ultrasound Scanner.

In Scotland, 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart condition. When an unborn baby's heart is only the size of a thumbnail, it is crucial for Fetal Cardiologists to have access to the highest resolution ultrasound images. This can allow consultants to more accurately analyse the tiny structures of the heart in order to diagnose any defects.

The Fetal Cardiology Scanner Barclays Scotland are aiming to fund will not only help medical teams to diagnose heart conditions. It will allow specialists to put the best possible care plans in place, and give
families the chance to prepare for the treatment or surgery that their baby will need after birth to survive.

Barclays Scotland have the chance to transform the care given to babies with heart conditions, while helping to put Scotland at the forefront of pioneering new ultrasound techniques to benefit vulnerable babies for generations to come.
