Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues and Well-Wishers,
One in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime.
I was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer two years ago in September 2019 and since then I have been blessed to receive incredible cancer care including, all through the pandemic, which has given me the gift of more time . Most recently my care has been provided by staff at the Royal Marsden. This cutting edge cancer hub together with its partner agencies is at the forefront of research into all types of cancer, running trials across the UK and internationally. Additionally the site at the Marsden is being developed so more people can directly access this first class hospital.
The staff at The Marsden are unflinching in their delivery of first rate cancer care and in their intent to eradicate this hateful disease. I am aiming to walk 120-140 miles in September to raise money for this incredible charity. I'm hoping to hook up with friends, family and colleagues to get out and about and spread the word. If you want to follow my progress follow my page. If you fancy coming for a walk PM me.
If you can afford it I would be so grateful if you could make a contribution -THANKYOU , but if you can't please do take the time to Google NHS Ovarian Cancer or Target Ovarian Cancer and make sure you are armed against the cancer that caught me out !
THANKYOU; THANKYOU;THANKYOU
Lots of love,
Sara xxxxx
