We perform land and water search and rescue to save lives in & around the River Severn

Story

On 22nd September 2018 a team of dedicated crew members from SARA Wyre Forest Rescue Station will be taking on a 10km extreme obstacle race (https://xrunner.co.uk) to help raise much needed funds for our charity.

SARA Wyre Forest is a volunteer Mountain Rescue team based at Kidderminster Fire Station in the West Midlands and are funded solely by generous public donations. SARA supports all of the emergency services by the provision of a highly trained and equipped  volunteer search and rescue team. Our team is one of 5 that makes up the association which covers the length of the River Severn and areas of land and water that surround it. We provide 24hr emergency cover, 365 days a year to the emergency services, all of which is funded by public donations since 1973.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, your support can help keep our life saving Mountain Rescue charity operational. It costs approximately  £30,000 a year just to keep each of our stations running, and this is before we look at replacing any of the current equipment that we have or acquiring additional lifesaving equipment. It is important to note that none of our volunteers claim any kind of financial reward for their time so you can rest assured that 100% of your donations go directly to keeping our charity running.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
