We would like to raise awareness of a condition called Fatty Liver Disease.  Our mother recently passed away at the age of 64 and her life was sadly shortened by this devastating condition.

Fatty liver disease is a condition that progresses very gradually. It is a silent killer. A very small proportion of people affected go on to lose their life to this condition.  Most people experience no symptoms or their symptoms only present when the condition is irreversible, leaving people unaware and unprepared.  

The British Liver Trust is a charity that is working to raise awareness of this condition within the general population.  The charity provides information and support for patients and carers. They also support educational events for medical professionals, to aid awareness of the very early and subtle signs and symptoms of this condition.  We hope that this will, in the future, ensure early intervention and treatment for people with this condition.

As a family we would like your help in supporting The British Liver Trust with their initiatives, by raising funds in our mothers memory, so that fewer families may need to deal with such a devastating and heartbreaking loss.
