Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why am I doing this? Everyone has a reason right? Mine is really quite simple.
- I was born in Mwanza, a small town on the shores of Lake Victoria in Tanzania a few years ago. In that very town back in 2002, Ian and Andie Wilson set up a dental charity called Bridge2Aid.
- I am a dentist.
- I care about people.
- I love adventure.
Put the four together and of course it was inevitable I had to climb the tallest mountain in Africa, in the country where I was born for a dental charity that has been set up in my very own birth town to raise money for people who have not got the excellent dental facilities we have here in the UK.
Three quarters of the world’s population has no access to the most simple dental pain relief, leaving billions to face a daily battle with pain in the toughest of life circumstances. Bridge2Aid is working to address this terrifying problem. In Tanzania, since 2002, Bridge2Aid has worked tirelessly to increase access to pain relief. Focussing on sustainability, and empowering local people to improve their own lives over the long term. I am taking the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro so that I can raise funds for the Bridge2Aid charity to support them to help more people out of dental pain.
