Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have actually already run this race, so this fundrasing is retrospective! As this was my first ever race, I did not want to risk recording a DNF and letting you good people down. Now that I have completed Leeds Abbey Dash 2012, I feel able to ask you to join me in supporting the wonderful work of Age UK. 

I run this race in memory of an old gentleman who I found disoriented on a busy Leeds road one winter evening, fifteen years ago. He could not remember his name or his address. We somehow managed to find his house and contacted the police and social services to let them know that he lived on his own.

The reply we received was: "You have no idea how common this is."

Please help Age UK make this story a little less common, a little more unusual.
