Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Candle lighters is an amazing Leeds based charity, that supports children and families effected by childhood cancers. 

Training as a doctor in Leeds, and working on the peadiatric wards, I have witnessed the difference the support groups, counselling/talking services, and events, make to families, and children. Having a safe place to discuss fears, events to look forward to, people from all different backgrounds, but with a similar cause, all working together to get through a tough time.

I want to help raise money for candle lighters, to continue the amazing work they do. Part of funds at Candle lighters, also goes towards ground breaking cancer research. 

Knowledge is power, and research which hopefully, will increase treatment options, survival, and reduce risks, the more we invest in knowing, knowledge that could be used not just in Leeds, but worldwide.

I am also raising funds for Candle lighters in association with Miss West Yorkshire 2021. I entered the compition to get better experience being involved in charity events, and doing something outside my comfort-zone, and attempting to be a good role model. I aim to show that everyone has their own unique beauty inside, and out. Supporting my just giving page, will also help me in the finals of Miss West Yorkshire.

Anddd I will be holding raffles, and trivia quizes, with money raised going to Candle lighters, aswell as the chance to win yourself some prizes, as well as helping a good cause. It's a win-win for all! So keep checking for further updates.
