March 2017 - Saunter for Stell - Australian Edition
After the success of the previous saunter in August 2015, getting a huge group and dogs to the top of Helvellyn in the Lake District - Turning Point used the money raised to build 'Stells Kennels' (picture at the bottom) at the centre in Cumbria - an excellent use of funds and a great honour to have achieved this.
Since then the 'Stellfie Bombers' have been in full flow spreading the message around the world - over 15 countries so far ! A few choice pics below. The bombers soundcloud page listed below is keeping them dancing.....
This time round over the Easter weekend 2017, another small team are going to be tackling what is known as 'the aussie ten peaks' although there are likely 12 peaks ! Essentially it is a 2 - 3 day hike and camp, around 50km long, over the largest mountain range in Australia in the Kosciuszko National Park, over 2000 metres high - this is where the snow is in Australia !
It would be an honour if we could raise some more money for a charity that helped our friend and many others, along with some creative ways to use further funds to help others.
Big Love
