Asda Foundation Leeds Half Marathon 2019 · 12 May 2019 ·

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

We are three student Physiotherapists and our studies have
highlighted the importance of high-quality care and support, especially for those with neurological and terminal conditions.

We are running the Leeds half marathon in 2019. It wasn’t a hard decision to pledge our support for the Sue Ryder charity who works to help people through the most difficult times of their lives. For over 65 years, doctors, nurses and carers have provided care with compassion to help people live the best life they possibly can.

Staff take time to understand what’s most important to
people and give them choice and control over their care, through specialist treatment, rehabilitation and support for their families.

The charity sees a future where palliative and neurological care reaches more communities and one in which everyone can access the quality of care they deserve.
