Gruesome images depicting the plight of refugees have shaken the world in the past few days. Desperation and a desire for safety is what is causing these refugees to take the extraordinarily dangerous Eastern Mediterranean passages to Greece and Italy.  It is appalling that some people are calling it a greed for a better life. While I understand that letting thousands of refugees in to the countries can put a strain on country resources but that certainly is not a reason to let them die an unnatural and untimely death.

Recent refugee stories have lit up social media and triggered strong reactions asking the government to take action and do more for the refugees. But it's high time that we as individuals also take action and contribute to help these refugees.

I have initiated this fundraiser for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
which is a medical humanitarian organization helping those who are affected by conflicts. They are currently operating 3 rescue ships in the Mediterranean and can really use your help. Every dollar counts. No donation is too small.  All of your donation will be sent directly to MSF.
