We are here for every cat to keep them happy, healthy and safe.

Story

We found seven extremely ill  4 -5 week old kittens whilst doing our volunteer Trap, Neuter Release work very recently.

All kittens have flu, and the most terrible eye infections. One kitten, who we named Molly, had such an awful infection it had spread to the rest of her face. The vet could do nothing to save her and reluctantly she was put to sleep. It was heart-breaking.

One kitten, who we have named Matilda, had surgery on the 21st April to
remove one of her eyes, as it was so severely infected. Luckily the operation
has gone well and she seems to be recovering nicely so far, but it is early
days.

One little boy, who we have named Misha, has very bad scarring on both his eyes, and will always have impaired vision.

There is another kitten, who we have named Minnie, who will probably have to have one of her eyes removed as they are so poorly.

Marigold only had one remaining  eye when she came in, and it has ruptured. She is due to have it removed next week. She is very underweight and we are trying to build her up ready for the operation.

Malcom and May both have mild eye infections but are thankfully these are getting better.

Because of the flu', eating has been problematic with some of the kittens. One wouldn't eat but would take milk from a syringe and another wouldn't eat for a while at all and was very lethargic with very heavy sneezing. He would only take drops of fluid from a syringe. Luckily the flu' seems to have cleared up for most now with just the odd sneeze.

The suffering these kittens and mother have endured is immense and their treatment
will be very costly.

Please, if you can spare just a couple of pounds, of whatever you can, to help us with
the cost of their vet bills and care, it will make all the difference.

We are still looking to catch the feral mother to neuter her as she could get pregnant again incredibly quickly.

If we are lucky to reach above our target any extra money will go towards other
cats in our care.

Thank you xx
