I am taking on the Ottoman Cycle Challenge to support the people of Palestine!

At least 30,534 Palestinians have been killed and more than 71,920 injured. This number is expected to increase rapidly as airstrikes continue. Nearly 50% of deaths are children!

Strikes are destroying homes, forcing people to flee. There are serious health concerns due to poor sanitation and overcrowding. And the healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, due to widespread destruction and damage of hospitals.

As many are forced to seek shelter in dozens of schools and hospitals, they urgently need food and other basic survival items.

Islamic Relief remains determined to assist Palestinian families. The charity is working closely with local partners, distributing essential items to affected families and providing psychosocial support to the children of Gaza.

For the past few years I have been seeing devastating images and live footage from Gaza and this has escalated since October 2023. It has been very difficult to watch a genocide happening in live time and feeling helpless.

There are volunteers in Gaza right now as you are reading this risking their lives so that emergency aid is delivered so the least we can do is support by giving aid and relief.

To help raise funds for this cause in September I will be in Turkey commencing the challenge with a 4-hour trek in Yazilikaya Village.

Then followed by a cycling challenge across Turkey which is over 93km.
