Simon's Cornish Coastal Walk 2021

Cornish Coastal Walk 2021 · 22 April 2021
Alzheimer’s Society and the Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign are close to my heart. This May, during Dementia Action Week, I am going to be taking on the challenge to walk 250 miles of the Cornish coast over two weeks starting on Monday 17th May.
There are currently 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK. This number is expected to double in the next twenty years. With no cure and limited treatments, one in three people will develop the condition in their lifetime. This disease has a devastating personal impact, but also far-reaching consequences for society as a whole.
I would like to raise awareness of dementia
whilst fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society’s vital services and dementia research. Any donation you can give will be able to support people living with dementia and ensure no one must face dementia alone.
You can track my journey on Instagram with photos of the wonderful Cornish coast by following @sb_cornish_walk.
