A team of us from ShelterBox will be competing in the Falmouth Week Dragon Boat race to support people who have lost their homes to disasters and conflicts. Most of us are complete novices in the a dragon boat, and may have only heard of such a thing just this week. But what we lack in experience we make up for in passion, determination and indiscriminate competitiveness! 

Any donation you can give will help families who have lost everything to hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and conflicts. Sadly the climate crisis is having increasingly devastating effects on vulnerable communities. 

Our changing climate is making it harder to live in many parts of the world and issues continue to build for people who play the smallest part in creating them.

Now, on Saturday 14th of August, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake has hit Haiti, causing enormous damage. ShelterBox is monitoring the situation and preparing to respond if needed, as we did in 2010. 

While we assess the situation in Haiti, sadly, shelter need all around the world is also growing. We are also currently working in Syria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and Nigeria - your donation will be spent wherever the need is greatest.

ShelterBox supports families on their journey to recovery with robust shelters, in the form of tents or tarpaulins and materials to rebuild or create new shelter. We also provide essential items such as water filtration, solar lights, cooking sets, blankets and more. We listen to communities to provide the right support at the right time.
