Story

Well, another year, another mountain ⛰

Last year we reached the Summit of Snowdon and this year we're aiming for Scafell Pike! 💪

Over 10 years ago we both started taking part in the annual Memories Walk for Bolton Hospice in memory of our Dad, Joe 😊

Most of you know, this cause is extremely close to our hearts and we consistently fundraise for the Hospice to show our gratitude, support and appreciation. We can never repay them for the end of life care they gave to our Dad, but we can raise money to ensure they can provide that same care and love to the many more patients who will sadly require it.

Dad was diagnosed with cancer of the liver in 2001, the cancer rapidly spread and unfortunately the tumours were too large and the cancer too far spread to operate and Dad was told he would have 6-9 months to live. We shared 10 months with dad after his diagnosis, and he fell asleep in May 2002 at Bolton Hospice with his family and friends around him.

So, instead of a leisurely stroll, we're donning our hiking boots, packing our rucksacks and climbing England's tallest mountain, and as we do, we'll talk about the wonderful person our Dad was and how incredibly lucky we were to have him in our lives.
