Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To make up for the absence of the Stroud County Show, which has been cancelled once again due to the pandemic, the team at Scarlet House has created five categories in which local people can shine: Photography, Baking, Flower Arranging, Fruit and Vegetables, and Handicrafts. Each category is divided into classes, such as ‘Freestyle Arrangement’ and ‘Table Display’ for Flower Arranging, and ‘Victoria Sponge’ and ‘Best Decorated Cupcake’ for Baking.*

To take part, the community is invited to pick up an entry form directly from the home, or email emily.shiers@careuk.com to
receive a digital copy, and drop it back on Monday 14th June – as
well as pay a £1 per category entry fee.

The winners will be selected by a jury composed of Scarlet House residents and team members and will be announced on
Saturday 19th June – the best three entries in each class will
receive a rosette and a certificate, while each category winner will receive a £10 voucher from John Lewis. An overall winner or Best in Show prize will also be crowned, and
all proceeds will go to The Princes Trust.

The Prince’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.
