Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In 2009 Clive Robertson and Chris Aynsley cycled 1500 miles around the 5 capitals of the UK and Ireland in just two weeks. In 2009 they raised £3,500, and a massive £10,000 in 2010  and finally £5000 in 2011/12 for  Special Care Baby Unit - Wansbeck Hospital. SCBU 5 CAPS is the official name for this Charity Cycle Ride.  To see photos of their adventure and their comments please visit our Facebook site.(search for SCBU FIVE CAPS) In 2011 Chris Aynsley took the challenge for the last time.To date we have raised a total £18,500 and bought the unit life saving equipment.We have purchased specialist equipment and 4 syringe drivers which are vital to premature babies for administering IV fluids and milk through naso gastric tubes. These cost £1,700 each.  You can still help the baby unit , any donations made now through our site will go direct to the unit,so if you want to support SCBU make a donation now!!
