Story

Our names are Lily & Noah Hicks and we made an early arrival into the world in May 2010. Born at just 32 weeks we were 8 weeks earlier than planned. Noah weighed a tiny 3lb 13oz and Lily just 4lb 3oz. We were lucky enough to be under the exceptional care of the doctors and nurses at the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.

Annually the unit cares for approximately 250 local babies that have either been born prematurely or term babies that need extra monitoring following birth. They have supported so many families through the SCBU journey that it is a cause close to so many local people’s hearts.

On the 2nd April we hosted a ball to raise vital funds for the unit. The generosity of over 50 local businesses and 200 attendees resulted in the event raising in excess of £7,000.

Thank you to everyone that supported the event and helped to make it such a huge success.
