The School Sleep Out · 15 April 2016

Launchpad is Reading’s leading homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who are homeless or are at risk of losing their home. With your support and generosity, we helped over 1,100 people get back on their feet last year.

Story

We are a teacher/student fundraising group who are sleeping 'rough' to highlight the growing problem of homelessness on the streets of Reading/Wokingham.

The pilot event is on the 15th April 2016 and hopefully there will be more in the near-future.

Some tenacious students are forgoing their usual home comforts for 12 hours in a bid to experience a fraction of the discomfort of sleeping on the streets. This will be in a controlled environment but the elements will be what they will be (especially in early spring!)

If you think we're brave and worthy then please drop us some money-Launchpad are a fantastic charity who give serious support to so many vulnerable people (check out their website here http://www.launchpadreading.org.uk/)

Best wishes,

Mr. Riley, Miss Andrews and the team
