SCL will be supporting Young Minds as their charity partner over the coming year.  We are all aware of this important issue which is becoming more and more prevalent with children and young people suffering issues, related to amongst other things, bullying, abuse, body image and suicidal feelings. 

Young Minds are the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health, turning  real-life experiences into positive change, ensuring that all young minds are supported through life, whatever the challenges. 84% of parents of children with mental health problems struggle to find the support they need for their child. 

Young Minds help parents when they have nowhere else to turn and give children and young people a stronger voice in their future. 

Amongst other services, Young Minds runs a Parents Helpline where they provide information, support and practical advice to thousands of parents and carers who are worried about the mental health, emotional well-being or behaviour of a child or young person from 0-25 years.
